Modules

Settings → Modules lists the parts of the program. Everything this phone does is one of these. Turning one off takes effect at once and leaves what it has already stored where it is.

Each module has a check box, a name, a line saying what it does, and at the right its state — Running for a module that is on. The check boxes of the two modules the rest depend on, Application and Local database, are grey: they cannot be switched off.

ModuleWhat it is
ApplicationThe main window, the settings, the icons and so on.
Local databaseThe database used as the local storage.
Browser interfaceSome features in a local browser: the pages of the REST API.
ButtonsThe buttons beside the dialler, and the lamps on them.
CaptureRecording a conversation happening in another application.
DiagnosticsThe SIP trace, the media statistics and the counters: Diagnostics.
DictionariesCategories, tags and red flags — the codes everything else points at: Dictionaries.
DirectoryThe address book: Contacts.
IntegrationThe local API, and webhooks: Integration.
MediastorageThe library of conversations and how long they are kept: Recordings.
ProcessingPrompts and the rules that fire them: Processing.
RecordingRecording calls, and telling the other party about it: Recording calls.
TelephonySIP, accounts, calls, the dialler and the call history.
TranscriptionRecognisers, the queue that drives them, and the transcripts they produce: Transcription.

Turn a module off and it is gone: no settings for it, no menu entry, nothing of it running. Switch off a module you have no use for — for example Integration on a computer where nothing else talks to the phone — or keep a phone that is only a phone, where that is all a desk needs. The package is the same either way: there is nothing to buy and nothing to unlock.
